StormShock Apps is where I can post web apps and software tools that I write. I’ve also created a sandbox there where I can test out code as I learn.
Artwork Archives
Few people know this about me, but I’ve been an intermittent artist for most of my life. From an early age, I’ve always had an interest in graphic art, and over my 40+ years of intermittent creation I’ve amassed quite a large collection of artwork.
Family Cookbook
Over the years, I’ve developed a set of easy one-dish dinners that are relatively quick and simple to make, and that the whole family enjoys. I’d like to compile all of the family favorite recipes into one cookbook that my kids can refer to someday when they’re cooking for themselves or for their own families.
DnD Solo Adventuring
Solo adventuring in Dungeons & Dragons allows a single player to enjoy TTRPGs without a Dungeon Master, automating much of the storytelling process through random world and problem generation. This concept is useful for writers exploring story ideas, players without a DM, and DMs playtesting adventures. Existing resources like “Mythic Game Master Emulator” and Paul Bimler’s “The Solo Adventurer’s Toolbox” provide guidance, though there’s room for improvement, especially when adapting for specific uses like story writing or board game design.
Baseball Replica Cards
With a stack of cardstock, an inkjet printer, and graphics software, I can create replicas of rare cards, design cards that I wish existed, and make my own sets of baseball cards.
Dark Saga Rules
My idea for the next iteration of Dark Saga Rules is that it will be more of an RPG for writers with a focus on storytelling. With this kind of focus, there is no longer any need for game mechanics like hit points or character levels. Ultimately, Dark Saga Rules will be more of a framework for developing an epic story than a traditional TTRPG.
