It’s often not easy to tell which pieces of information are true and which are false. I’d like to explore ancient texts and find which ideas have been proven true time and again. It is the ancient wisdom that we can most reliably build our base of knowledge upon.
Twisted Fables
Aesop’s Fables rewritten by changing all of the animals to human characters, setting each story in modern times, and tying every story together chronologically in the same story world and setting.
Bloodlines
A series of short fantasy stories where each story details a warrior’s personality and life, and ultimately how they die. The next story in the series will detail another warrior—the one responsible for the previous one’s death.
Barbell Strategy
With many things in life, I like to take two extreme perspectives, much like the Barbell Strategy. You can apply the Barbell Strategy to just about anything in life. I’d like to write more on the subject, and show detailed examples of how it can be used to help people in many different contexts.
The Folding of Time
I have an idea for a science fiction novel I’d like to write. It’s based on the idea that scientists developed a time machine, but because the scientists’ understanding of time was flawed, the time machine didn’t work as intended. Instead of going to a different time, the time machine stayed in the same place and dragged the present back with it into the past, effectively “folding” time.
Technology Exploration
Technological fields such as immunotherapy, big data, machine learning, nanotechnology, robotics, virtual/augmented reality, genetic engineering, quantum computing, and autonomous driving are experiencing rapid change. I’d like to learn more about each of these cutting edge technologies and share my findings.
