Monster Hunters

Every civilization throughout history had their own legendary monsters, and the heroes who dared fight them. I’d like to write stories about these fictional epic battles, both as an exercise in writing fiction and also as an exercise in researching other cultures and their stories.

Each story would be set in a different time period, geographic location, and culture. I could have a story of a Mesopotamian warrior battling a Mesopotamian monster. Then I could have another story of an Ancient Chinese warrior battling a mythical Ancient Chinese monster. That way, each story would have its own flavor.

Perhaps some relic passes between the different warriors in different stories, marking them as the “Chosen One.” Or maybe every generation in history has a legendary hero somewhere in the world fighting a mythical monster of the time.
