We’ve often heard the wisdom that too much of a good thing is bad. There’s a lot of truth to that saying. Our brains are unthinkably powerful, but if our brains are keeping track of a few thousand odd pieces of information and clutter around us each day, our mental capacity gets bogged down.
The solution? Minimalism.
The point of minimalism is to cut out unnecessary information, objects, and tasks from our lives, so that we can focus on what truly matters.
In taking up this project, I hope to document my journey to minimalism. This includes digitizing whatever I can, using public shared resources where possible, outsourcing menial tasks, removing unnecessary physical objects from my life, and even decluttering my mind through processes such as making lists and practicing meditation. The end goal is a more focused, powerful way to go about living.
