My idea for the next iteration of Dark Saga Rules is that it will be more of an RPG for writers with a focus on storytelling. With this kind of focus, there is no longer any need for game mechanics like hit points or character levels. Ultimately, Dark Saga Rules will be more of a framework for developing an epic story than a traditional TTRPG.
DnD Core Rulebooks Expansion
While the Dungeons & Dragons core rulebooks provide a lot of information, there are also infinite ways they could be expanded upon. It would be fun to choose a chapter or subchapter from one of the core rulebooks and really expand upon it. Dungeon Masters and players who enjoy the particular aspect of the rules would find such expansions very useful.
DnD Roll for a Name
Randomly generating names of any style is actually simple enough that you can do it manually without a computer. Instead of using a computer to randomly generate names, you can use syllable lists and dice. I want to write a book that includes dice roll tables for randomly generating fantasy names of all types.
DnD Fast Play Rules
A typical DnD game session lasts about four hours. I don’t have that kind of time. I’d like to find tweaks to the DnD rules that I can make to significantly speed up the game.
Baseball Prospecting
I’ve been picking baseball prospects for many years now, and have come up with a convoluted process for choosing players who I think will succeed in the major leagues someday. Recently, I’ve streamlined the process and redid the picks for the past ten years using the new system.
Baseball Ultimate Card Collection
I’m tackling my massive baseball card collection. The goal is to build a dream set of cards including a chronological display of baseball’s greats, while finding new homes for the rest. I’ll also create a website to showcase my hall of heroes.
