Often when people read non-fiction books, they don’t put what they learned into action. They read the advice, they know what they should do, but then they fail to take any action. I think much of the problem lies in the fact that most non-fiction books tell you what you need to do and how to do it, but not when you should do it.
I propose writing book/calendar hybrids in order to promote taking action, and thus increasing the value of non-fiction literature. Each day of the calendar can feature a block of text explaining a certain concept and how you can put it into practice that day. There will also be room for marking the day’s events on the calendar portion and also to take notes.
