Dark Saga was a project that I started over a year ago. It is a universal game system that I will be using to create my computer RPGs, stories, and artwork. The purpose of creating a new game system is so that I can avoid copyright disputes if any of my products become reasonably popular.
The first edition of the Dark Saga core rules is still in the making, but I have been working on it in segments so I can post my work on this site at regular intervals. The format of each version is not the same, as I have been changing the format to make things easier to read. I am currently working on converting the system to HTML format so you can read the game manual directly from the web with your web browser with no file downloading required.
Dark Saga Core Rules version 0.4 (latest) - A 120Kb DOC file for Microsoft Word. This version of the rules is 26 pages in length.
Dark Saga Core Rules version 0.3 - An 18Kb WPS file for Microsoft Works. Six pages in length.
Dark Saga Core Rules version 0.2 - A 9Kb TXT file readable with any word processor or viewer. This is a set of very basic rules.
Dark Saga Core Rules version 0.1 - A 3Kb standard TXT file. This is just a listing of basic concepts that would be implemented into the Dark Saga system.
